Philanthropy and Community Service

Greek women's interests and concerns go beyond the confines of campus life. Sororities sponsor a multitude of activities each year to impact the local community and earn money for their special philanthropies or identified causes. Each chapter also donates its time to a particular project either locally or nationally.

Each year, the Panhellenic Association fills campus and community needs in its sponsorship and support of events such as clothing drives, toiletry drives, canned food drives, and more.

Many individual Greek women also volunteer in local programs such as Habitat for Humanity, the Georgia Aquarium, the American Red Cross, and various other projects. Sisters are also involved with volunteer opportunities through the Volunteer KSU program. The opportunities you will encounter to help benefit philanthropies and the community are endless. The ability to give of oneself is probably one of the most important qualities you will develop or cultivate while being a part of a sorority.
